On July 24th 2019, Franklin Square and Munson Fire Districts voted unanimously for a new investigation into the 9/11 attacks. The resolution, written by Commissioner Christopher Gioia cited “overwhelming evidence” that “pre-planted explosives…caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings.” Commissioner Gioia said that he is expecting other districts throughout the city will show their support and hopes they will pass similar resolutions.
There has been a renewed interest in an investigation since the original 9/11 commissions report was published and widely believed to contain irregularities and misinformation. Earlier this summer the group Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, worked with the University of Alaska on a study which indicated WTC Building 7’s collapse was unlikely to have been caused by fires.
This year we mark the 18th anniversary of the attacks, and still do not have all of the answers. When will we finally have a transparent and accurate investigation into what happened on that morning 18 years ago.
