Air Force Judge Col. W. Shane Cohen has set a trial date for five men charged with planning the September 11th attacks. The date, January 11, 2021. The five men were arrested in 2012 and are being charged with the death penalty for the deaths of 2,976 people.
Prosecutors had been asking a date since 2012 but Friday was the first time the date had been set. According to the New York Times, the five men were arraigned in 2012 at Guantanamo Bay.
Being that this is a military trial, we will have to see if the media is allowed to observe. It would be interesting to hear their testimony and compare it to the 9-11 commission report.
